Dr. Thomas L. Chung is a double board-certified plastic surgeon with over two decades of experience at the highest levels of military, academic, and clinical medicine.
His exceptional training includes a plastic surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, one of the most prestigious programs in the world.
Throughout his distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Chung held significant leadership positions, including Chief Medical Officer for the San Diego Regional Market and Chief of Surgery across hospitals in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. He provided reconstructive care to war heroes returning from Iraq and Afghanistan at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and he had the privilege of going on humanitarian missions around the world on the U.S. Navy’s hospital ships.
An elected member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Chung has contributed to countless peer-reviewed publications and has been recognized with military and medical honors, including the Meritorious Service Medal and the distinction of being named one of “America’s Top Plastic Surgeons.” Known as a master of artistic body contouring, he consistently delivers ultimate comfort and exceptional results in all his procedures.
