Eat to
heal.

What to eat after surgery depends on what you had done. Fat transfer and liposuction have different goals, so they get different plates.

Fat transfer · Reals™ and BBL

Feed
the fat.

Transferred fat needs a steady supply of energy while it settles into its new home. That is why, after fat transfer, we send you home with gummy bears.

Yes, gummy bears. Really.
Three glossy gummy bears in pink, yellow and white
01Gummy bears, on schedule

A quick, easy source of calories to feed the transferred fat. [Clinical team: how many, how often, and for how long.]

02Don't diet yet

Cutting calories or losing weight right after surgery can work against your result. Hold off on dieting for [X] weeks, or until your surgeon clears you.

03Add healthy fats

Avocado, nuts, olive oil, eggs and salmon are easy ways to keep good fats in your day. [Clinical team to confirm.]

04Protein at every meal

Protein supports healing. Greek yogurt, eggs, chicken, fish, beans or a protein shake all count.

05Keep weight steady

Aim to stay at a stable weight while your new shape settles. [Clinical team: how long.]

06Water, all day

Staying hydrated helps your body recover. [Clinical team: daily target.]

Awake liposuction · Abs, Arms, Bra Roll, Thighs, CB&J™

Calm the
swelling.

01Protein first

Build each meal around protein to support healing.

02Easy on salt

Salty and processed foods can make swelling worse. Cook simply for the first [X] weeks.

03Drink more water

Hydration helps your body clear fluid after liposuction. [Clinical team: daily target.]

04Fiber helps

Pain medication can slow digestion. Fruit, vegetables and whole grains keep things moving.

05Skip alcohol

No alcohol while you're taking medication or healing. [Clinical team: for how long.]

06Snack smart

Small, regular meals are easier on your body in week one.

questions.

Why gummy bears?

After fat transfer, the transferred fat needs energy to settle in. Gummy bears are a quick, easy way to keep calories coming. [Clinical team to confirm wording.]

When can I go back to dieting or weight-loss meds?

After fat transfer, wait about 2 months before trying to lose weight or restarting a GLP-1 like Ozempic®. That gives the new fat time to establish. Then restart under your doctor's guidance.

Can I take flaxseed or flaxseed oil?

Yes, there's no restriction. Flaxseed has anti-inflammatory omega-3s that can help in moderation. If you have other health conditions, check with your doctor about any supplement.

When can I have a glass of wine?

[Answer from the clinical team.]
